The Hours Calculator helps you track and calculate working hours, breaks, and overtime for timesheet management, payroll, or productivity analysis.

How to Use

  1. Enter your start time and end time for each working day
  2. Input any break time in minutes (lunch, rest periods, etc.)
  3. Add additional days as needed using the "Add Another Day" button
  4. Set your overtime threshold (typically 40 hours per week in many countries)
  5. Click "Calculate Hours" to see your totals and breakdown

Understanding the Results

Total Hours

This section displays three key metrics:

  • Total Hours: The total working hours across all days, excluding breaks
  • Regular Hours: Hours worked up to the overtime threshold
  • Overtime Hours: Hours worked beyond the overtime threshold
Daily Breakdown

This section shows the detailed calculation for each day, including:

  • Day of the week
  • Start and end times
  • Break duration
  • Total hours worked for that day

Time Format

This calculator uses the 24-hour format (00:00 to 23:59) for input times. For AM/PM conversion:

  • 12:00 AM = 00:00
  • 1:00 AM = 01:00
  • 12:00 PM = 12:00
  • 1:00 PM = 13:00
  • 11:59 PM = 23:59
